frequently asked questions
Can I take a T Level with another qualfication e.g. an A Level?
No, this is not possible The T Level is equivalent to a three A Level programme, plus the extended placement requirement makes this a complete qualification.
What English and Maths GCSE grades do I need to take a T Level?
You will need to have achieved grade 4 or above at GCSE English Language and Maths.
Will the College help me to find the extended industry placement?
Yes, we have a dedicated Employability Team who will help to arrange this placement. There is also additional support for travel and resources costs.
Exactly how long are the industry placements?
They are 45 days across the two year qualification or 315-420 hours. The exception to this is Education and Childcare which is 700 hours.
How do the placements work?
We currently envisage that there will a 2-4 weeks block placement at the end of Year 1 with the remainder taking place across Year 2, either in block format or undertaken on a regular basis.
